Port Harcourt Refinery To Supply Petroleum Products To 200 Trucks Per Day

The Port Harcourt Refinery is expected to supply petroleum products to 200 trucks in a day.
The Special Adviser on Public Communications and media to the President, Mr Sunday Dare, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, also said that the old wing of the refinery had resumed operations with a production capacity of 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
Mr Sunday Dare, who said the Port Harcourt Refinery has two wings, also stated that the old refinery comes on stream with an installed production capacity of 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
He noted that about 200 trucks laden with petroleum products are expected to load daily from the refinery, in order to renew hopes of Nigeria.
He said in a statement that President Bola Tinubu has so far extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) on the successful revitalization of the Port Harcourt refinery, which marked the official commencement of loading petroleum product on November 26, 2024.
The President acknowledged the pivotal role of former President Muhammadu Buhari in initiating the comprehensive rehabilitation of all our refineries and expressed gratitude to the African Export-Import Bank for its confidence in financing this critical project.
President Tinubu further commended the leadership of NNPC Limited, Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mele Kyari, whose unwavering dedication and commitment were instrumental in overcoming challenges to achieve this milestone.
Dare urged the NNPC Limited to expedite reactivation of the second Port Harcourt Refinery, Warri and Kaduna .
