Comptroller Edelduok Looks For Stronger Ties With Maritime Police To Boost Security

The Customs Area Controller of Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Command, Comptroller Joy Edelduok, has sought for stronger ties with maritime police to boost security.

The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Joy Eghosa Edelduok, who emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration
during a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Maritime, Garba Yusuf, at the Kam Salem Building, also noted that the visit was aimed at strengthening the partnership between the Service and the maritime police.

A statement made available by the public relations officer of the command, Chief Superintendent of Customs, (CSC) Victor Ogabor, the discussion was focused on enhancing security, safety, and operational efficiency in the maritime sector.

A statement also disclosed that, the visit by Comptroller Joy Eghosa Edelduok to AIG Garba Yusuf underscored the need for greater collaboration and intelligence sharing to combat smuggling and other illicit activities threatening national economic, and security interests.

The meeting is reported to have ended with a renewed commitment from the two agencies to foster cooperation and mutual support, paving the way for a stronger partnership between Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) command of Nigeria Customs Service and the maritime police.
