LFTZ Command Makes Significant Improvement In Revenue, Generates N661.5bn
The Lagos Free Trade Zone Command has generated a total sum of N661, 545, 608, 365.96, a significant improvements over previous year.
The Customs Area Controller of Lagos Free Trade Zone Command, Comptroller Hauwa KA Abubakar, disclosed this revenue figure on the occasion of the 2025 end of the year party.
She gave glory and appreciation to Almighty God for His grace, protection, wisdom, and mercies throughout the year 2025, adding that God has been faithful to them as a command, and for this they remain deeply grateful.
She said these achievements reflect enhanced compliance levels, improved operational efficiency and strengthened collaboration with Free Zone operators and Lekki Port stakeholders.
Significant, too, she said the command remain confident that by the end of December 2025, the command will surpass and effectively double the revenue of N358, 999, 366, 368.00 recorded in 2025.
Beyond revenue, she said the command has recorded notable achievements in stakeholders engagement, inter-agency collaboration, and community relations.
Meanwhile, she said the command have sustained cordial relationships with traditional rulers of their host communities, whose support has ensured a peaceful and enabling operational environment. But beyond these, she noted that their collaboration with sister agencies within the Free Zones and Lekki Port, has further strengthened security, compliance and seamless trade operations.
Comptroller Hauwa Abubakar, who said the year 2025 has been remarkable for the Lagos Free Trade Zone Command, also noted that through collective efforts, discipline and professionalism, the command has continued to strengthen its position as one of the most strategic and high performing command in the Nigeria Customs Service.
Besides, she said their achievements are a direct reflection of effective leadership, committed officers and productive partnerships with stakeholders.
She sincerely commended the officers and men of the command for their dedication, resilience and unwavering commitment to duty.
She noted that their professionalism in revenue generation, trade facilitation, compliance monitoring, stakeholders engagement has greatly enhanced the image and performance of the command.
In addition to this, she said she is proud of their discipline, teamwork, and sense of responsibility, which have continued to yield positive results.
Comptroller Hauwa Abubakar, who appreciated the media for their professionalism and continued support in projecting the activities and achievements of the Lagos Free Trade Zone Command to the public, also said their role in promoting transparency, accountability, and public confidence in their operations is highly valued, while the command look forward to stronger engagement in the coming year.
The Customs Area Controller of LFTZ Command, who said as the command look ahead to 2026, their expectations are clear and ambitious, also said they are determined to consolidate on the gains of 2025, improved operational efficiency, deepen stakeholder confidence and further enhance revenue generation.
Still, she said the command will continue to prioritize officers’ welfare, capacity building, and professionalism, while strengthening compliance, innovation, and service delivery across the Free Zones and Lekki Port corridor.
Moreover, she promised to intensify stakeholders engagement, sustain strong inter-agency synergy and embrace innovative strategies that will position the Lagos Free Trade Zone Command, as a role model command in the Nigeria Customs Service.
That is not all, she said with sustained cooperation from their stakeholders and the continued commitment of their officers, saying she is confident that 2026 will record greater achievements.
