Court Orders INEC To Hand Over NNPP Leadership To BOT

The Abia State High Court, has recently ordered immediate hand over of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) leadership to Board of Trustees, under Dr Aniebonam Boniface Okechukwu, Founder and Life Member, Board of Trustees, NNPP Headquarters, Abuja.
Dr Aniebonam Boniface Okechukwu, who addressed the media men during the world press conference, held on Tuesday, 5th November 2024, at the NAGAFF Headquarters and NNPP Annex office in Apapa, Lagos, expressed great displeasure over the activities of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Kwankwassiya men, such as Barr. Ladipo Johnson, who have been jumping from one media house to the other with misleading information on the issue since the groundbreaking judgement was delivered recently.
He informed the media men that the party is now under the control of Board of Trustees (BOT), while terrible characters like Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Buba Galadima and Ladipo Johnson, who had long been expelled from the party before the judgement, will never speak on behalf of NNPP, but can speak for Kwankwassiya group which was part of NNPP before the 2023 election, but have long excited after the election.
Dr Boniface Aniebonam, said members of the party were surprised when the news of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima withdrawal of the case in Kano State High against Dr Boniface Aniebonam was broke out.
He noted that this particular case was targeted mainly to reward him with embarrassment, despite the level of benevolence extended to this characters in his country home in Umuawulu, in 2022 when they came to request for his assistance to use the party platform for the 2023 general election, which he granted without any financial consideration or commitment, rather he donated money for operational take off.
The Founder, expressed worries over the level of ill advice Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been receiving from these questionable characters, who lack competence in their chosen career, and who have chosen to stay around Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to enable them feed their stomachs, instead of going to practice their trade.
According to Dr Boniface Aniebonam, Barrister Robert Hon, who is the legal adviser to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima, is a junior brother to professor Samuel Angwe, who was frustrated out of the party, together with Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, are now members of APC, while Barr. Ladipo Johnson, the Kwankwassiya spokes person, who is alleged to have been an agent of APC, from Lagos State, is planted around Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima, to scoop vital information and return to them, has been angry that, he has been spending his personal money.
He said no matter how fraudulent a judgement might be, as presently alleged by Barr. Ladipo Johnson, one needed to vacate such order and judgement directly or through an appeliate court.
He asked whether Barr. Ladipo Johnson, who is representing Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima, can not differentiate between a declaratory judgement and an executionary order or judgement of court.
Besides, he asked again, whether Barr. Ladipo Johnson, as a Lawyer, does not know that except this compelling order is vacated in an appeal and or supreme court that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Buba Galadima and the entire officers of the party have been dissolved and sacked.
He said, Barr. Ladipo Johnson, should be told that stay of execution order does not apply on declaratory judgement of a high court.
For Dr Boniface Aniebonam, Barr. Ladipo Johnson need to be told that a declaratory judgement may not need service, while adding that the subject matter is INEC’s inability to exercise its authority in the administration and management of statutory functions as it relates to regulation of political parties and their activities.
He noted that the compelling order is for INEC to exercise its authority of regulation and control of political parties in Nigeria under the law.
Dr Boniface Aniebonam, therefore disclosed that, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima and the entire defunct and puppet NWC members of the Kwankwassiya group masquerading as NNPP are inconsequentials under the present circumstances and the law.
He said, Barr. Ladipo Johnson should be told that INEC was in court to defend itself before the ruling and or judgement was pro nouced.
He said under the circumstances the actions of Barr. Ladipo Johnson, who represent Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima amount to contempt of court. He promised to approach the court to draw their attention to this as soon as possible.
He extended sincere advice to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima to approach the appeal court and seek for intervention, if he has the locus, instead of going about making noise in the air space.
He further asked Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima, whether they are appealing against the judgement delivered by a competent court, if yes, why calling the integrity of a competent court of law to questions.
Furthermore, he asked whether they are appealing that the NNPP belong to them or the certificate of registration of NNPP is with them or belongs to them.
In addition to this, he said it is unfortunate that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who was a former minister of defence, two times governor of Kano State could degenerate to this level.
Dr. Boniface Aniebonam is quoted as saying that: “It is indeed very shameful as Kano has ceased to be a model state to be looked upon in the modern day administration and good governance. This was never the expectation of NNPP in return for overwhelming support the good people of the state gave to the party”.
Besides, Aniebonam said: ” It is the strong belief of the party that after twenty four hours of this compelling order, INEC should invite the Board of Trustees (BOT) of NNPP, in accordance to with the orders of the court to amend their records”.
Aside from Board meeting on the 8th of November 2024 to take specific decisions in accordance with the compelling order and judgement of the court, he also appealed to all members of the party to remain calm and be law abiding in the face of extreme provocations of Kwankwassiya agents led by Barr. Ladipo Johnson.
At this juncture, it is hoped that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima, shall respect themselves as good citizens to move Nigeria forward.
At the end of the world press conference, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam urged all the elected Senators, Hon. members of the Federal House of Representative and State Assembly, under the canopy of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to come to him in Lagos and take over their party.
