ACG Chukwudi Ogbonna Passes Baton Of Leadership Of Cross River/Akwa Ibom/FTZ Command To Comptroller MG Dauda
Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG) Chukwudi Ogbonna, has handed over the baton of leadership of Cross River/Akwa Ibom/FTZ Area Command, to Comptroller MG Dauda, following the appointment of the former Controller, Comptroller Chukwudi to the new rank of Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG).
Comptroller MG Dauda, a seasoned customs officer, who has been appointed the new Customs Area Controller of Cross River/Akwa Ibom/ FTZ Area Command, took over from Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs, (ACG) Chukwudi Ogbonna, on December 5, 2025.
Comptroller Dauda joined the Nigeria Customs Service, as a cadet officer in 1992, and was trained at the Customs Training College, Goron-Dutse, Kano State.
He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing from Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Marketing from the University of Maiduguri, including a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) in Public Administration, currently under going PhD studies in Public Administration at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
Comptroller Dauda served in various capacities, and in commands, such as Bornu command, Port Harcourt Area 1, Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’, Ikeja, Western Marine Command, Apapa Area Command, and the Service Headquarters in Abuja amongst others.
His notable achievements include the seizure of Tramaking (a Tramadol variant) worth ₦1,679,251,231.70 while serving as Officer in Charge of Classic Marine Terminal.
Comptroller Dauda, pledged to deploy his wealth of experience through intelligence driven operation.
Comptroller MG Dauda gave assurance that Cross River/Akwa Ibom/FTZ Area Command, under his leadership will consolidate on the achievements of ACG Chukwudi Ogbonna for greater performance.
He expressed confident that with the cooperation and professionalism of the dedicated men and officers of the command, they will continue to fulfill their mandate.
